Hello! My name is Gabriela but you can call me Gaby. I live in Sydney with my husband and our daughters. I’m a photographer, yoga teacher and doula.

Both my yoga and photography journeys started when I was a teenager living in my hometown of Vancouver, Canada. I never could have imagined that these two passions of mine would become my career someday. After completing a Master’s Degree in Sydney, I did a pivot and took my first yoga teacher training. All of a sudden I was a full time yoga teacher, and I soon realised that guiding women through the prenatal and postpartum periods was my niche.

A few years later, I became a mum and I fell in love with photographing families. I love capturing those moments that can otherwise go undocumented: little hands reaching out to be held, a toddler kissing his baby sister, a couple deeply in love with their newborn. It's my goal to make you feel comfortable in front of the lens, and for that reason I love to use natural light and photograph families in their happy place, wherever that is. Some of my favourite sessions have taken place right in the family's home, or at their local park or beach. I also love to photograph yogis and yoga teachers. As a yoga teacher, I'm able to suggest poses and correct alignment so that you end up with the best possible images.

Most recently, my passion for supporting women led me to become a doula. I love getting to know women so well throughout their journeys of pregnancy and early motherhood, and being invited into someone’s birth space, well that’s an honour that never gets old.

A bit more about me… Growing up with a Colombian mom and a Canadian dad gave me a love for travel and adventure from an early age. Fifteen years ago I moved to Sydney with two suitcases to be with my then boyfriend, now husband. We have two daughters who keep us on our toes. When I’m not working you can find me chasing my kids at the beach or snuggled up on the couch, cup of tea in hand, enjoying some Netflix. I am a breast cancer survivor, knitting enthusiast, Anne of Green Gables superfan and dessert lover.
